The short version: the game has no ads and no tracking. It sends information when it checks for updates, when you choose to send a report, and, in the Steam version, to show your city on your player page.

The City does not ask for your name, email address or a password. The Steam version shares your city on this website, as described under Player pages below.
The game contacts our server at wubur.com in these cases:
Asking for help. If you send a message from the help page on this website, we receive what you type: your message, your email address, and your name if you give it. We use your email address only to reply to you.
Please do not put personal information in a report. We use reports only to fix bugs and decide what to build next.
If you play the Steam version, the game sends your city to this website so it can appear on your player page and the leaderboards. What is sent: your Steam ID and Steam name, your city's name and figures (such as population, happiness and money), the achievements you have earned, how long you have played, and a picture of your city.
Apart from the sign-in cookie described above, this website does not use cookies, advertising or analytics, and has no sign-up forms. The only form is the one on the help page, described above.
Like nearly every website, the company that hosts our server keeps standard logs of the requests it receives. These include the IP address, the time, and the file requested, for both the website and the game's update checks. We use them only to keep the service running and to investigate problems, and we do not combine them with anything else to identify you.
If you get the game through Steam, Valve handles your account, purchase and downloads under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your personal or payment details from Steam.
The game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If you sent a report and want it deleted, tell us roughly when you sent it and what it said, and we will remove it.
If the game starts collecting anything new, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
